At the end of the day, I knew I made a difference in the lives of people.
Assistant Vice President/Manager (Former Employee) – Templeton, California – August 24, 2015
Working with clients, staff and my peers always left me with a sense of pride and satisfaction. At the end of the day, I always knew I helped a client remove the mystery of the language of money; I helped a team member overcome a hurdle and I formed solid friendships with my peers. For me making a positive difference in the lives of people I engage with daily is what measures my success.
A typical day? There was never such a day. While what was done was predictable, clients, team members and management could always be depended on to offer new challenges.
The hardest part of the job was either letting someone go or tell someone that they did not get the position they were hoping for. I would describe this task as this: How do you make lemonade out of lemons? My challenge in these situations has always been to help those folks how to see that this change in their lives serves a higher purpose.
I was fortunate that I have talented leaders.
It is never about the product or service you sell, it is always about people. Helping people meet their needs and feel good about their decisions and forming lasting partnerships is the key.
Senior Client Relationship Manager (Former Employee) – Santa Maria, CA – February 2, 2015
Employees that work at Heritage Oaks Bank are courteous and kind. They are sincere with their customer service. Ever changing and heavy regulations make the job difficult at times. The clients and team members were the best part of the job.

Executive Assistant to President & CEO (Former Employee) – Paso Robles, CA – August 28, 2013
Maintain supervisors calendar on a daily basis, schedule meetings and travel, answer phones and prepare monthly and weekly reports. My co-workers were team players and this was the most enjoyable part of my job. Hardest part of job was management's micro-management.
