Route Salesman (Current Employee) –  New JerseyJune 18, 2017
Worst place to work. Low pay, long hours, Mirco management EVERYTHING!!!!!!! You can be the best in 9 out of 10 things ....BUT they will focus one the 1 your not. They keep raising the bar higher and higher for you to get bonus. Eventually you can't anymore. EVERYDAY you will get messages on to push and give more. It's NEVER ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros
A job
Cons
They always want MORE and MORE.

Long hours but not a bad job
Route Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Somerset, NJMay 15, 2017
Worked in 2 different branches and the job was not too bad. Management and supervisors would create accounts that would not make money and very hard to compete in supermarkets against the bigger companies.
Pros
Decent job
Cons
Long hours

Used to feel like a team
Route Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Concordville, PAApril 17, 2017
Not a bad place to work. Pay is about average in the industry. Management does not care about real life scenarios, just hit your number for that week no matter what. Direct manager is a good person but not here much. Location is understaffed so managers always run routes. Not sure how they do that and still do their job. Not much job satisfaction other than a pay check. No real appreciation of hours put in.
Pros
Average pay, stable job, nice trucks
Cons
Goals are unrealistic, no support, long hours, lack of team atmosphere

Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) –  Lakewood, NJApril 7, 2017
A wonderful company to work for. They take care of their employees, work very hard, and the benefits are helpful to other family members. Couldn't ask for a better company to work for.

Great people, easy going
Former warehouse worker (Former Employee) –  Hainesport, NJMarch 27, 2017
Overall the people there are great. Hours are under 30 a week. You can't be over 30 hours a week because Herrs doesn't want to pay for health benefits. They are only concerned with full time employees, not part time employees. The pay isn't the best, isn't the worst. Monday through Friday 9-3 are the hours usually.
Pros
Good people
Cons
Not enough hours, pay doesn't equal amount of work done.

Great job with decent wages
Full time warehouse / Assistant warehouse Mgr. (Former Employee) –  Lakewood, NJJanuary 3, 2017
Overall, you work 8-5 everyday helping our salesman reach their sales goals by maintaining adequate stock and inventory within the warehouse facility. OSHA Standards are to be met at all times, while conducting appropriate actions with any safety problems that arise. I learned how to lead a team while developing myself and my career at the same time, and there are occasional opportunities for advancement as long as you work hard and show that you can do the work to the best of your ability.
Pros
Good Pay and Benefits
Cons
Repetitive work
