Are you as at ease designing for the web as you are managing high profile digital media campaigns? Can you design a unique logo or flashy corporate brochure as easily as you can a banner ad?
We’re a large, high-profile government relations and public affairs firm seeking a creative, professional, highly organized, energetic and detail-oriented person for the position of Graphic Design and Digital Media Specialist. Candidate should have experience and interest in designing for web and print applications, and a passion for engaging and communicating with online audiences to match it. He or she must be able to manage and complete multiple challenging projects, often with tight deadlines. Candidate will work with a diverse team of bipartisan policy and public relations professionals to service a wide-ranging group of domestic and international clients.
The ideal candidate will be well-organized and show excellent skill and creativity in producing high yield designs for print and the web under pressure. The candidate should also have a background in and understanding of social media community management, writing for the web, possess an interest in emerging digital trends, and knowledge of or experience with metrics and analysis of social media campaigns, as well as web-based advertising practices.
Mastery of standard design applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is essential; knowledge of After Effects, Flash and Final Cut an added bonus.
Strong written and oral communication skills, an exacting attention to detail, the ability to multitask, a sense of humor and flexible hours are a must. Candidates must be proficient with MS Office applications and have at least one year of professional experience. Bachelor’s degree required.
