Great work/life balance
Business Partner (Former Employee) –  Topeka, KSSeptember 3, 2017
Employees are able to bring dog to work and some can work from home 2 days a week. Their on-site cafeteria was definitely a plus. Overall workplace culture was laid-back.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (Former Employee) –  Ponchatoula, LAJune 18, 2017
The benefits are great, but the pay is low due to company changing the bags every month. The job is paid hourly with overtime, but due to the company changing the packages and the size, the price for the food does not match the cost for the product.

Fantastic products, good benefits, expects a lot from employees
Territory Manager (Current Employee) –  Topeka, KSFebruary 3, 2017
Believes strongly in science and technology behind product, great benefits and most people are wonderful. Marketing is improving but understaffed in support leading to immense workload trickling down resulting in deteriorating work life balance. Expect to spend evenings and weekends with admin responsibilities

No room for expansion either horizontally or vertically. Just disappointed with management and how things were handled. Co workers were great, Very helpful when needing assistance.

Passionate employees and your work has a sense of purpose
Manager (Current Employee) –  Global headquarters, Topeka, KSSeptember 20, 2016
Great products backed by science, you can really stand behind what the company produces. Intelligent and friendly co-workers that are passionate about what we do (most of them!). Company is caring, ethical, stable, and working very hard to be more progressive. Bring your dog to work day is every day at the corporate office, which is a lot of fun! Hardest part of the job= there is a lot of change taking place to help us be more efficient, and the pace of business is very fast. There is so much work you could work around the clock if you let yourself. However, the company is very supportive of work-life balance, it's more a matter of setting your own limits. Some groups at the corporate office have summer hours, and work-smart options (can work from home and flex your start/end time). Best part of the job= opportunities for continual learning and development. Being a part of Colgate means you have a lot of opportunity (globally) to experience new things if you are willing to work hard.
Pros
Bring your dog to work every day, flexible work environment, opportunities for learning/development
Cons
Fast paced, ever changing business...a lot to keep up with!

Territory Manager (Current Employee) –  Wichita, KSMay 8, 2016
Great place to work and a subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive, so they value their people. I've worked there for quite awhile and haven't had a better job opportunity. I'd recommend Hill's to anyone seeking a longterm career opportunity.

CSC Outbound Support (Former Employee) –  Topeka, KSApril 22, 2016
You always know what you're going to do. You're on a team that always helps out. Management is fantastic and always willing to go to bat for you. The only down side in the call center is if there is nothing to do you just have to sit around for awhile if there isn't any busy work left to do but you're still getting paid so it's not really that bad.
