•Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming

•Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed

•Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed

•Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis

•Dispose of trash and recyclables

•Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

•Perform guest turn down service, as needed

Best paying job I ever had, but ridiculously low on supplies, etc.

Pros: high pay, free cafeteria meals, pto days.
Cons: low or nonexistant supplies, poor communication between depts.
A typical day at work meant starting with no towels, few sheets, no cleaning rags, and limited cleaning supplies. Laundry often did not deliver towels until the last hour or two of the shift.

Co-workers often went from floor to floor in search of supplies.

The hardest part of the job was explaining to irate customers why there weren't any towels in the morning, or why their sheet change would have to wait until the afternoon.

Cons: work life balance tough with volume of work
This hotel is non stop- a great "problem" to have. As the meeting space is being vacated another group is moving in. The Management is supportive and understand the value of groups. The guests rooms are clean and well maintained. Beautiful property!!
