I wasn't given the resources needed to do / complete my job. I was only allowed certain items needed to function as a employee.

Custodian (Current Employee), Renton, WADecember 25, 2013
Pros: great benifets options
Cons: hours are based and how full the house is and how much is needed of you to benifit the guest.
Hilton world wide is always growing with new ideas or design to there many brands. The give you a wide verity of benefits to choose from so it fits to you. Management is a hit and miss in my option. Some better then others. The work is advisement is low at the branch i work at, but it is secure work if the pay and flexible hours work for you. This facility has a lot of culture, A nice blend of people.

Lack of team work and leadership
Restaurant Manager (Current Employee), Honolulul, HINovember 23, 2013
Pros: benefits, location, meals
Cons: lack of leadership, teamwork, comradity
Great staff. Knowledgeable old timers who observe before they connect. Management team in the food and beverage dept. of the property I am employed with does communicate well, often threw one another under the bus and often engaged in staff gossip. Rarely have time to spend with my family due to my sparatic and biased scheduling. The problems that stemmed over a course of one years is directly from upper management: affairs with staff members, hiring inexperienced management. Leadership or a lack there of trinkles down to lower management. Front desk managers are all new with the exception of one. The restaurant cannot keep a director for more than 2 years nor can they keep managers. Most do not last more than one year. There is no consistency throughout this entire property.
Great place to work if you clean house.

Work at home reservations agent
Reservation Agent (Current Employee), Tampa, FLMay 14, 2012
Pros: work from home
Cons: stressful, back to back calls constantly, no coworker interaction.
Basically you get yelled at all day by customers because they don't like the policies Hilton has. People call you with no clue of where they actually want to go. Your calls are recorded and randomly listened to and if you dont meet all of their criteria on that specific call (and there is a lot they want) you get written up. It is stressful and you get back to back calls all day long.
