Was a very good company to work for until buy out by Warren Buffet and 3G
Data Analyst (Current Employee), FLORENCE SCNovember 15, 2013
Heinz is a very good company to work for. They valued their employess and created a great work enviroment. Since the buyout, jobs have been slashed. The new CEO's and shsarolders have one goal in mind and thats to reap as much money back from the investment at the coast of closing plants. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY UNTIL THE LAYOFF BLITZ IS OVER

A great place to gain valuable experience and receive "hands-on" corporate based leadership training.
Employee Development and Records Coordinator (Former Employee), Mason, OHAugust 14, 2013
Pros: great benefit package
Interactive associate exposure and team concepts.
You can "grow" as a team leader and management candidate.
The Management holds daily debriefings to let you stay abreast of the company P & L statis allowing you to react proactively.
The entire corporation is staffed with great people to work with.
As a member of the management team, you often must – more... make difficult but necessary decisions but everyone is very understanding and supportive and truly does have compassion and cares.
Jobs well done are celebrated and people get the recognition they deserve for the challenging tasks they sometimes perform in meeting the requirements or deadlines. – less

Hourly co workers are the best
Auditor/PT Continuous Improvement Lead (Current Employee), Muscatine, IowaMarch 4, 2012
Pros: good pay
Cons: scheduling is day to day
It has a fast turn around of employees. Scheduling is terrible. Never know what shift you will be on til the day before. Never know how many hours you are going to work. And for new hires the wages are not good. Once you get hired on through company you have to wait 3 years to get full pay.

Valued opportunity and an enjoyable work experience
Data Administrator, European Data Management Org. (Current Employee), Hayes Park, Hayes, LondonSeptember 10, 2013
Pros: a relaxed yet professional atmosphere
Cons: not enough flexibility in my hours (this is a personal feeling)
I really cannot find fault in my time at Heinz. I was afforded a valuable opportunity and I feel I have been provided time to adjust to the role and learn the subject matter.
It is a quiet but friendly office atmosphere, with professional staff across all of my surrounding departments.

I have struggled at times with the more technical aspects of the – more... business structure, but my manager made me feel safe and secure in my position.
I have enjoyed learning about the detail required to ensure a watertight data management structure across the company, and I have genuinely felt valued by other departments for my contribution to the set-up of new Heinz products. – less

Productive
Seasonal Worker (Former Employee), Leamington, ONFebruary 27, 2013
Pros: salary
Cons: long hours
On a typical day on the job, it's alot of working with tomato's on a product line. The most enjoyable part of the job was the fact that it was really easy. The hardest part was standing for a long time, which was wasn't too hard. Co-workers were great for assistance in the factory and willing to show directions. Although I was working for the season, – more... I would love to work there again. – less
