Not employee friendly. Focus on upper management and not those who are in need. Seemed to overlook what was most important to employees and clients on a daily basis.

Performance Coach (Current Employee) –  Dublin, OHSeptember 3, 2017
Completely unorganized senior leadership. Good advancement opportunity to an extent. Management makes decisions based off of favoritism rather than performance. Sloppy processes that are constantly changing, causing a lack of consistency in the work place.

Research, analyze and resolve customer (internal and external) concerns in an accurate and timely manner by using appropriate tools and resources to assess situations and create resolutions that are appropriate. Maintain constant ownership of workload by managing tickets for areas of responsibility to ensure response time goals are met. Assists in the development, testing, and communication of operational policies and procedures by identifying service problems and assisting with root cause analysis.

Overall, a nice place to work. Co-workers and managers/supervisors are nice and very friendly. Just lack of career advancement, or at least very little opportunity. Still, not a bad place to work

Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Lincoln, NEJuly 17, 2017
Worked for a little over a year. Commission promised, but too many loop holes to jump through to get it. Top sales advocate and still just paid 9.00 dollars. Operations management is good but managers below are young inexperienced and too playful at times

Alot of fun, support and advancement opportunities. It is a place that you will love minus the irate customers but that is a given. I would love to make a career at this workplace.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHJune 16, 2017
A typical work day is simply clocking in and doing you job. You never learned anything new unless the client provided new information. Never had much interaction with management unless you spoke to upper management. The job was not hard unless the client's needs we're not being met, but the most enjoyable part of the job besides the comfortable dress code would have been assisting the customers calling in to receive assistance and knowledge about the product.

HKT is a good company to work for but very hard to get promoted. I was there for almost two years and always had great stats. I have seen people with very low stats who had good rapport with upper management get promoted when they should not have .

Run Away.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHApril 21, 2017
I have worked in many call center environments, first and third party and this was definitely my worst experience. From day one my entire training class was lied to, about everything. From compensation to days off, to scheduled times, nothing management ever told us was consistent and we were always left to suffer a last minute change. If you are looking for benefits, don't bother with this place, HR is incompetent and useless as can be. They don't want to ensure people so they claim that benefits can be activated after 90 days of employment, but nobody is ever shown how to declare. They dropped the ball on direct deposit as well so don't expect that either. At first sight, it seems warm and inviting and family oriented, but don't let the set up and the bright painting on the walls fool you, these people will run you around in circles until you are sick and tired of being lied to and ultimately don't decide to return. The training format is a joke as well, if you do move forward with this position, expect the people you come to respect to be counted on one hand. They prioritize volume hiring over any semblance of respect toward current employees so be prepared to deal with horrible HR, an overcrowded building, and management that doesn't care who you are, or why you are there, no matter how long you have been there. Another thing I would like to mention is the rampant thievery, I strongly advise you to watch your belongings at all costs because your stuff will disappear, even if you do so much as leave for lunch, and if you think that management will so much as blink an eye  more... at your missing belongings, you are in for a rude awakening.

If you prefer HR that does nothing but ram corporate jargon down your throat when you have an issue, management that will lie to you about bonuses and promotions and change your schedule at the last second with little notice, an overcrowded building where you have the possibility of being thrown to another team without notice and dragged to the other side of the building because someone new needs a place to sit, this is the place for you. Otherwise, don't let the pay and the bright colors fool you. Take your skills elsewhere.

Do not work here
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Dublin, OHApril 15, 2017
This company will lie to you about EVERYTHING. They will promise a raise/promotion which will never come just to get you in the door. They will switch your schedule with ONE day in advance and then penalize you when you can't do it. They want to act like a "tight knit family environment" but literally force the class before to say good things about the company to persuade you. They will bring about 8 classes in within 2 months and lose everyone because of the way they do business. The CEO uses the 3rd party they work with to make money with no regard for the employees. If you work here you will be miserable. STEER CLEAR!
Pros
- You get to talk to customers who travel a lot
Cons
- Fallen promises from management

Not the Family Atmosphere they promote
Airbnb CX Support (Former Employee) –  Dublin, OHApril 7, 2017
I have to agree with the other reviews about how stressful and bad the company was. They constantly change the goals and metrics to keep you confused on what they are supposed to be and that does hurt your bonus and getting promoted if the metrics change every couple days to a week. The management has no idea how to lead and help the employees. This is in part due to the client companies they have programs with changing the metrics and standards they want from HKT all the time so then HKT mangers have to in turn change them on the worker. They basically have to do what the client wants to keep the contract with them and if that screws the employee on the phones working for HKT in the process, so be it. The insurance is very poor and the company does not care about the employee as it is a call center so they are prepared for a high turn around. What good is getting approved by the client to hire more workers if you cannot keep the ones you have because you do not treat them right and reward the good workers you have. Almost everyone hired at the time I was is gone now (plus most of the people hired before or after me). Back when I was hired the HR Manager said she was happy if people stay around 7-8 months. This is not a good mentality to have and you should work with your clients and managers to build stability to keep workers because what they have been doing does not work. They preach that they are different and offer a family atmosphere which is not true.
Pros
paid time off was pretty good
Cons
Not focused on building long term stable environments, just making money now
