Formerly Highmark Inc., now HMHS Inc., have gone through several cycles of culture changes in the three years since I began working full-time. There is increased stress and demand for extra hours. Work is excessively top-heavy with process and redundant documentation. The benefits are great as are the coworkers. But with an executive focus on profits over people, a large percentage of senior level talent has made decisions to move on.
The platform I service is stable, which is a plus. And the majority of new work is addressing customer requests for software updates.
