Manager Seasonal Dept (Former Employee), Biloxi, MSJune 5, 2014
Pros: store discounts, good pay, good benefits
Cons: a select group of previous co-workers made it hard on whole store
mismanagement would put everyone behind which decreases store moral which at that store meant work slow cause were behind anyway. hardest part would be explaining sale items to customers

Productive and Supportive workplace
Sales Associate/Cashier (Former Employee), Westerville, OHMay 13, 2014
Pros: respectful work environment
Cons: short breaks for lunch
In a normal workday I would run the cash registers and perform any and all duties requested of me by my supervisors, including cleaning the store, restocking shelves and assisting customers. I gained experience in working with a team of associates who were driven to excellence by our mutual respect for the company and the specific store. I enjoyed working – more... with my co-workers as they were supportive and helpful especially in my first few weeks when I was still learning the ropes. The hardest part of the job was dealing with displeased customers, but I am very good at maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor and these experiences allowed me to further improve that skill. The most enjoyable part of the job was working in the team of associates and knowing that I could ask their advice in any situation and that they were each very competent in their area of focus. – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Rocky Mount, NCMay 13, 2014
A typical day at work is usually a happy day . Working at Hobby Lobby you will find yourself assisting customers with things they love. This store is based on needs and not wants, you will find yourself providing customer assistance to people who enjoy shopping at this store. Generally these customers have a happier lighter tone then those at a store – more... where they need what they are purchasing. There is no hard part about this job. Hobby lobby is closed every night at 8pm and every sunday so employee's can still participate in churches and have plenty of family time. – less

Fun place to work if in college
Sales Associate (Current Employee), Toledo, OHMay 6, 2014
I enjoy working here, however it is not the place I want to be as my career. It is flexible when it comes to my school schedule, but sometimes the hours are not sufficient enough to pay what I have to pay. It is difficult sometimes when it comes to management because of it not always being fair from employee to employee, but I am grateful for my experience.
