Position Summary:
The Controller provides overall direction to the finance and accounting functions of the Company as well as provides analysis and recommendations to senior management. The accounting staff report directly to the Controller.


  • Develops infrastructure, policies, guidelines and internal controls for the accounting department
  • Recruit & develop strong accounting staff ( A/P, A/R, G/L)
  • Maintain corporate books and records with fiduciary responsibility for corporate assets and advise management on actions regarding the purchase, lease, or disposal of such items
  • Provide analyses and recommendations regarding financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities to the CFO
  • Develop annual operating plans and set performance baselines/goals for accounting department
  • Develop value added financial reporting systems for managing business performance
  • Maintain relationships with commercial banks, auditors, tax accountants, etc.
  • Analyze short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies and actions
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present and expected operations in order to identify development opportunities in areas where improvement is needed
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of resources
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, current accounting standards, state and federal regulations, GAAP, and ensure compliance with all
  • Coordinate external audit of company and ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee external tax return preparation and timely filing of tax returns
  • Prepare or direct preparation of internal and external financial statements, annual forecasts, and/or reports required by regulatory agencies
  • Responsible for all payroll related activities


  • BS Finance / Accounting with MBA & or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in financial management
  • Possess highest degree of integrity with strong ethical values
  • ERP system experience (implementation a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to senior management
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Advanced analytical skills, including strong computer modeling capability
  • Experienced managing diverse segments of an organization
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • Enjoy the flexibility and creativity in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably medical devices
