Lifeguard (Former Employee) – Evansville, IN – September 30, 2017
It was a great experience for me but sadly I lived to far away I live an hour from there if I lived closer it would be more suitable. But I would be there from 7am to 9pm and wouldn't even get paid for 2 of those hours
Marketing Assistant (Current Employee) – Santa Claus, IN – August 1, 2017
I took an internship here straight out of college and it was great. The people there truly care about you and are always willing to help. They trusted me with important work and used me to do stuff that would actually help me grow and benefit the company. I appreciated having the chance to do stuff that mattered. The work culture is second to none and I highly recommend it.
Great work experience, rather unfriendly work place
Ride Operator (Former Employee) – Santa clause, IN – June 30, 2017
A wonderful place to go for younger people just entering the workforce. They offer positions to high school students regularly. It looks good on a resume and has a reputation for making good workers. As such it can be used as a strong first job that leads to better work later. The trade off is the rather unfriendly work environment it is. Managers are unfriendly and there is a very strict set of rules with a zero tolerance policy for any stepping outside of it. It's hard unrewarding work but atleast you will appreciate your next job more!
Drink Station Crew Member (Former Employee) – Santa Claus, IN – April 14, 2017
The bus schedule makes you spend 6+ hours unpaid waiting for your shift to start or to get back home. You have a typical day at work where some days are quick and some are very slow. You do learn a lot about different things when it is your first taxed/real job. Communication between leaders and supervisors is not the best some days. Experienced a couple crew leaders having a bad attitude and being narcissistic. You definitely will make some friends and connect with others.
A free lunch and breakfast sometimes, go into the park before and after shift, discount on food and free park entry
Communications Manager (Former Employee) – Santa Claus, IN – March 31, 2017
Working at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari was a very enjoyable job. During the season the park is open to the public, members of the park's management staff can expect to work mandatory 6-day work weeks. For the most part, management is very flexible with work schedules and time off requests. Holiday World offered some of the best benefits when it came to insurance and employee perks. There are reasons some employees have been with the company for 20+ years!
Fun work environment, flexible scheduling, great perks, excellent pay & benefits, wonderful managment
Cashier (Former Employee) – Santa Claus, IN – October 8, 2015
cashiering, prepping and serving food procedures to prep food. Friendly but strict. Friendly and easy going. Standing in the hot sun for long periods of time, staying at work (even when off the clock) for radical periods of time. The benefits.
Free admission and discounts at park
worked long hours 6 days a week, was made to stay even after off the clock to wait for bus
