Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this front line Director has 24-hour responsibility to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of a 30 bed Critical Care Department through clinical, financial and performance management. Requires broad knowledge of clinical and administrative nursing standards and practices, and regulatory licensure and accrediting agency requirements and standards.
Ø BSN degree required, with an advanced degree strongly preferred.
Ø 5 years of experience in nursing administration; or five years of experience in nursing administration or supervision, with evidence of continuing education directly related to the job specifications.
Ø Highly effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
Ø Working knowledge of human resources, business and economic databases
Ø Current CA Registered Nurse license
Ø Current BLS certification
Ø Current Fire Card
Ø Current ACLS certification
