Poor Job
Teacher, Teacher Assistant, and etc (Former Employee) –  Greeneville, TNOctober 15, 2017
This is a poor job that I would not recommend to anyone. They have people in higher ranking that are very poor to work for. It used to be a superb place to work for until other people retired.
Pros
Free lunches, insurance although it isn't that great, and etc.
Cons
Poor bosses in higher positions, the higher people are only out for the almighthy dollar, and etc.

Juvenile Counselor (Current Employee) –  Johnson City, TNFebruary 13, 2017
Most people that work here are going in thinking that they are working with poor sad orphan children, but that is not the case, you deal with juveniles in states custody ranging from youth with hormonall, A&D, and anger issues. The kids can sometimes be very sweet and enjoyable to work with but most of the time of the 10 kids you and another staff are responsible for, 2-3 are well behaved with no issues, about 5 are hit or miss with their behaviors where they are not horrible but can be a hassle, and usually 1-2 are complete trouble makers who need to have eyes on them at all times and can make you go in some days disliking your job. Its a job where if you think that this type of work is for you, then have at it. Most employees do not last too long because after a while they just get burnt out on the work and the constant stress of dealing with troubled teens. However some days you really enjoy your job and you feel as if you are making a difference in the youths lives for the better.
Pros
free food while at work, upper management is really friendly, some days can be incredibly easygoing
Cons
low pay for the work, hard to ask off work, some days can be extremely stressful

Office Manager/ Teacher Assistant (Former Employee) –  Greeneville,TNOctober 5, 2015
Best job I ever had! I loved what I did and the staff is excellent. I learned how to work as a team at this job. The hardest part of the job was when children left the center to enter public school.

You can go to work and never know what to expect when you arrive. Dealing with teenagers with troubled histories can seem overwhelming at times. Most of my coworkers have great hearts and most were always there to help. When the boys are just being normal teenagers it is a lot of fun dealing with them. The hardest part is the stress is never over and there is a neverending supply of troubled youth.
Pros
lots of overtome
Cons
overwhelming stress at times

Good company. Not a lot of room for advancement. Long hours with lots of after hour requirements.
