Business Development Intern, San Antonio, TX - January 28, 2016
A typical day at work would start at 7:30-8am and then have one or two meetings in the morning twice a week. I would work from my desk and work with my superior and make calls to sales group for all locations. I learned how to communicate with sales workers, customer service, how to solve business problems, market share data sheets, and learned the ins and outs of working in a office. The management was great, I had to people that I worked with and reported to. I worked day to day with the business development manager and created a great relationship with him. The GM of the division was a great guy and really good at what he does which made it easier on us. He really know how to communicate with employees and actually create a relationship with them. My co-workers were great as well, I had a group that sat around me that were always there to help if I needed and were always friendly and giving advice to me. The hardest part of my work was figuring out time management for different responsibilities but was I figured out how to manage that it became easier. The most enjoyable part was getting to interact with different parts of the company and helping the people in the company to make their jobs easier and make them more successful at their jobs.
