About Holy Rosary Medical Center
The Holy Rosary Medical Center Foundation has done two very successful community events - Superbowl Celebration, where we not only raised funds for the OB Renovation project at Holy Rosary, but we also provided a wonderful family event for our communities. There is also an Annual Pledge Campaign every November and December; as well as a very successful – more... Employee Giving Campaign held in October. Funds raised from these various campaigns have helped us to contribute $43,000 toward the OB Renovation Project, purchase nursery equipment such as bilimeters and infant warmers, provide Asthma Workshops for children with asthma and their parents, and provide new equipment in the Infusion suite. Another very important fund administered by the Foundation is the Employee Crisis Fund, where money generated through the Employee Campaign can be used to assist HRMC Employees with financial crisis. We have helped with funeral expenses, airline tickets to see terminally ill parents in another state, to provide heating assistance, as well as numerous other types of issues that many may encounter. This year, we found the need to take on a large project that could generate income and revenue for the Foundation. Thus, "A House for the Hospital" project was created. A building lot in Northview Ranch subdivision was donated by Pelican Development; RJ Investments, Inc is donating the work as general contractor; building materials are being donated by numerous businesses; and the majority of the construction labor is volunteer labor. Ground will be broke the end of March 2008. The Foundation will auction the house in July. All proceeds go to the HRMC Foundation. Foundation Board President, Rick Grief, has offered to expedite this project. He is also contacting numerous contractors for their support. We are asking everyone to get involved with this project at some level. The property has been donated, and now it is our goal to secure donations of building materials and other supply costs; as well as contractors and volunteers donating labor costs for the construction of this house. Thus, we are asking for everyone's help and contributions (even cash contributions!) for "the House for the Hospital." David Greis, of DACH Custom Home Builders will be doing the framing portion of the project. David Greis is the main owner of his Parma Corporation that includes four owners. He has named his company after his four sons, ages 15 to 9: Dakotah, Anthony, Chase and Hunter. Of his five fulltime employees, two have college degrees, two are retired after serving for twenty years in the Navy, and one also volunteers as a junior high coach. David started his business two years ago having worked for Boise Cascade and others for about ten years. As a small business, the company specializes in building six to eight custom homes a year. They plan to stay small in future years so that they can focus on excellence. DACH Custom Home Builders is a community-minded business that understands the importance of having and sustaining a top-notch local Medical Center. We wish to thank David and his crew for their assistance with the House for the Hospital project. The Ground Breaking / Blessing of the project was held on Friday March 21, 2008. Our Foundation, which is in its third year, is relatively new. It was formed in November of 2004. Our Mission is "to help community members have access to the highest levels of health care in their own community". We are trying to do this by acquiring the necessary capital to assist Holy Rosary Medical Center in creating an environment of excellence.
