Privately owned financial institution is seeking an Acounting Assistant. Job duties will include but not be limited to:
Preparation general ledger and various other account reconciliations.
Preparation and post journal entries.
Maintain the fixed asset ledger and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain investment ledgers and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations.
Assist in preparing financial statements and various other management reports.
Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for audits, reviews and regulatory agencies.
Assist with budget preparation and reporting.
Qualified candidate will be a team player with knowledge of accounting principles and practices, excellent oral/written communications skills and excellent time management skills. Candidate will also have knowledge of computer software applications, word processing and electronic spreadsheets. Must be able to prioritize workload, determine priorities, and complete assignments with little supervision.
