An exciting challenge for an Assistant Director of Nursing at our well-established home health agency located in Stark County, OH.
Ideal candidate will have Medicare experience, hold a current RN license in the state of Ohio, have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and have prior supervisory or management experience. A baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field is preferred with a minimum of 2 years experience in a combination of acute care and home health care.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. The Assistant Director of Nursing will plan, direct, and participate in the delivery of professional services to home care clients. Also coordinate and direct programs and staffing to promote quality services for clients and establish and implement systems to inform clients and their families of the scope and nature of home health care services and community resources.
2. He/She will participate in the organization's strategic planning activities, assist in the planning and development of agency structure, clinical and administrative policies and procedures, and the annual operating and capital budgets, focus services toward diagnosis-specific client care needs, and seek consultant expertise as needed to ensure agency strength.
3. Assure compliance with the requirements of state licensure, Medicare certification, and compliance with regulatory agencies through policy and procedure development, staff education, and ongoing monitoring activities, recommend new policies and/or changes in current policies to improve quality of client care and efficiency/effectiveness of services and review and update client care procedures annually.
4. Participate in the hiring and orientation of personnel, identify the standards of practice for agency personnel and communicate these standards to them, implement systems to assure compliance with all state federal and local laws, provide staff development and in-service education programs to ensure competencies of staff and to meet regulatory requirements and communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team
