Great Company just not for everyone

Some people will like working here but it's not for everyone. Missed a lot time being with family and it began to affect my personal life. They expect to much from service technicians and the payout is not worth the amount of time it takes to want to stay

Its mostly about management the Office known as West office is a very different planet as the one at South Orlando, customer gets too much power is commission only pay there is a base salary that amounts to $10 an hour whatever happens you are wrong management and customer correct, unnecessary meetings weekly that take from your production time, to make decent money you need to complete about 14 houses and that is on top f the out of control appointments set up by office like 6 appointments per day (for which you get no money), and sometimes same day treatments that are never really emergencies, if you are behind you will work on Saturdays 8 to 2, I can write more but if you still want to work here after this, then go right ahead, by the way you are certified by the state as a Pest Control Tech but get paid like a McDonalds cook.

Stable company with good benefits. I would recommend 'this company to anyone starting out in pest control. Good pay and incentives. Nothing more I can say other than management was not so good

The workday flies by. Everyone works together to get the job done in a fun way.
Management is always there to help.
Home Team has a very laid back atmosphere. the hardest part of the job is the heat. the most enjoyable part is all of the other employees.

If management would go to bat for their employees it would be a great place to work. They make you work Saturdays even when your ahead of schedule. They don't pay overtime if your salary but that will change DEC 1ST. Expectations are very unrealistic and the management runs the operation as a dictatorship.

Management is horrible,way too much micromanaging. Pay is horrible,co workers are excellent. Everyone I worked with were really good people always made sure I was ok and always helped when I was behind.

Not the best place to work. Never a balance, every week they make changes, and not the best ones, Only to benefit the company.. Never for the employees, everything is run on favoritism. They promise to help you succeed.. but that is not how it is. They make it impossible to succeed.

Pay was good until new management took over and decided to overstaff, cutting peoples hours and pay. Job was fun and challenging at the same time. All day is spent out in the field with other construction workers. Fun job.

Home Team claims to be an employee first company that really cares about and listens to its employees;but it's not. Corporate is controlling and domineering changing policies left and right with no regard for what's best for employees. H.R. complaints fall upon deaf ears. Management is limited in what they are allowed to do to help their employees and while there are a few shining stars in each region it's not enough to make up for the questionable hiring choices at most branches. Compensation is a joke with rediculous goals you are written up for not meeting on a monthly basis,commission is 5% and services are grossly overpriced. Office atmosphere is generally fun and engaging however when everyone is not being micromanaged by higher ups. You get ten vacation days and five sick days for the year, insurance is terrible, the hours are constantly changing. The only good part about this job is using it to gain entry level experience.

The business was growing very well, especially here in central Texas. Tracking the day to day route completion, technician check in, paperwork review, updating trackers, reviewing applications, training of new hires, training and solving issues that would arise. I loved working with my technicians, and especially like solving issues and working with the customers. The tough part was the constant change of directive from upper management. Also feeling like they did not always have your back.

Working with people and buidling teams. Learning about the pest control business.
Cons
Health care was becoming more of a joke. The hours that I had to put in, just to try to stay afloat, with less than favorable pay.

A typical day at work consisted of scheduling lots of paperwork, answering phone calls and supplying help for the builders. Management was terrible she was never there and when she was she sat in her office all day as if no one else existed. co workers were very friendly, but I worked with alot of women that had a lot of emotional drama.The hardest part of my job was when a lady quit within the first 2 weeks of being hired and i instantly had to pick up the slack with no notice. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to go with the installers and train and see beautiful homes,
