Full Time Home Health Aide – Guaranteed 35 hours per week.
Hours are determined by programming needs. Must be available all shift, alternate weekends and holidays. Must b willing to travel as necessary to fulfill programming needs. Minimum of 35 flat-rate patient-care hours per week, additional hours for travel time.
Per diem and hourly positions are also available.
Under the supervision of the RN Care Coordinator, the Aide is responsible for, but not limited to , assist with patients activities of daily living, light housekeeping, minor assit with medical, equipment and/or errands. The Aide will comply with agency policy and procedures, as well as recommending employee development.
Requirements: 18 years of age or older. Minimum 8th grade math and reading skills. Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, perform one person transfer under routine and emergency situations, reposition a bedbound patient alone, and able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull, climb, reach, lift, and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities. Acceptable drivers license and automobile available for use with current insurance. Successfully completed a Home Health Aide training or equivalency program approved by the NYS Dept. of Health.
