Pros: people, the experience, insurance, the union, resources, opportunities
Cons: low pay, a ton of responsiblity
You acheive the sense that they honestly care about your wellbeing. It's a lot of hardwork. Honestly the pay is too small to be a deli clerk but it's easy enough to rack up plenty of hours. The store's supervisor is guilty of hour slashing. Basically twice a year, everyone's hours get cut by about 10 to 15 hours per week. There are scheduled raises and Homeland does have a union. No employee discount though, on anything.
