Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, Maryland has an exciting full time opportunity in its Landscaping Division for a Landscape Designer/Sales Professional with three to five years experience in landscape sales. Our Landscaping Division services residential and commercial customers. The position requires an individual with a well-rounded horticultural background who is able to meet with customers, assess their site, review their ideas and budget guidelines, together with the ability to present suggestions and recommendations for the project's enhancement. The position also requires the ability to create and present professional proposals, accurately estimating the cost and timeline of the project. Strong customer service skills are a must, with the ability to proactively assist and/or lead in the solution of any customer issues or concerns. Good computer skills and a willingness to embrace new technology are essential. Participation in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and garden center events, as well as building professional relationships with members of the community, business leaders, etc. are an important part of this position.
