Homewood Suites provided me with my first experience in the area of customer service. I learned how to deal with customers in a friendly, compassionate way and do whatever I could do to ensure their satisfaction. Of course there were ups and downs, but overall, the experience was one that I consider to be the beginning of my love of customer service. – more... I learned to use and navigate the hotel's computer system and became quite efficient at my job. The most difficult part of the job was that there was almost no recourse for me when the computer system was done. I would basically be stranded until it was fixed since there was no way to do my job manually. I enjoyed the times when I would have guests tell me that because of what I did, they had a better day. There was nothing that made me happier than another satified customer! – less
