Hope Community Resources, Inc. (Hope) is a value-based agency that believes in equality for all people. This sentiment is reflected through our policy that, in supporting people, our doors are wide open. We believe that choice, family preservation and community inclusion are the most important factors to consider when creating and maintaining a system of services and supports for individuals that experience disabilities.
One of the things that sets Hope apart from similiar organizations is the quality of our employees. We employ an incredibly diverse group of people who come from all walks of life bringing us a variety of strengths. They listen to the desires and needs of the individuals, families and guardians, and work with them to design supports that are unique to each of the people who choose our services. Our employees have a passion to make our communities better places for all people who experience disabilities. Through this desire to dissolve barriers, we hope to widen the circle of full community inclusion for everyone. Hope staff continually educate those around them to embrace the differences that make all people unique.
Hope has been a part of Alaska for over 30 years, staying on the cutting edge of our field and striving to redefine the area of disability as our culture knows it. Like everyone, we have made our share of mistakes, corrected them, and as the years have passed, have found ourselves one step closer to the dream of full community inclusion for all.
