RN (Former Employee) – Poughkeepsie, NY – October 11, 2013
receive report in am and independently organize schedule for the day. Visit patient's homes and evaluate/manage symptoms. Continuing to educate family about medications, symptom management, disease progression and provide physical and emotional support to patients and their families. That is both the hardest and best parts of the work. Management is distant from the daily activity of the staff that visit homes and usually are not concerned about staff support. The staff: RNs, LPNs, HHAs do a great job of supporting each other.
caring organized and quality of life was always first
