Housing Authority

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) helps improve the lives of people throughout Colorado by financing the places where people live and work.

CHFA was created in 1973 by the Colorado Legislature to address the shortage of affordable housing in the state. Since then, CHFA has established itself as the front-runner in the affordable housing
 – more... industry by financing single family mortgages for qualifying homebuyers and supporting developments of apartments for low and moderate income residents. In 1982, when Colorado had economic difficulties, CHFA began making loans to small and medium sized businesses. CHFA is a responsible advocate of affordable housing and small business issues for the Colorado community.

Since 1973, CHFA's financing has served every county in Colorado by:

Financing more than 57,000 mortgages to homebuyers
Helping sustain and support more than 26,400 jobs
Financing more than 45,000 residential rental units
Allocating tax credits for 30,000 residential rental units

CHFA's mission statement and operating philosophy drive the staff to achieve new goals each year. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
