I was brought about Houston Baptist to grow the student and public fitness center. The populous is relatively small, so my influence and reach is great. The members, generally, are of utmost class and ambition, with a few outliers. I very much have a great vision and path for growth, but most ideas and programs are stopped in their tracks. This is not due to them being bad ideas, but the chain of command is broken.

Associate Professor of Business (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – June 22, 2015
Adjunct professors are hired by schools on a contractual, part-time basis as opposed to the traditional university model of full-time employment. They do not get employment benefits, including health insurance or retirement plans. Adjuncts are often hired to teach a specific course that regular faculty may not have expertise in.
Houston Baptist University Student Worker (Former Employee) – Houston, TX – December 2, 2014
A typical day at work consists of answering phone calls and assisting the dean. The environment is very relaxing and easy-going. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to interact with students and staff.
Very good work environment but very challenging pace. Growth in computer knowledge, including hardware and software, is exponential. Customers are sometimes difficult to deal with, but this is the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part of the job is that you have a team of coworkers willing to help, and friendships are made in this way.

A typical day at work involves me supervising the officers on my shift. Completing paper work for my shift and any other paper work that is needed. Usher (Current Employee) – Houston, TX – December 26, 2012
A typical day at work involves me scanning patrons' tickets and escorting them to their seats. The job is pretty self-explanatory therefore there is little manager inolvement. The hardest part of the job is telling people that they are not allowed to bring certain items into the theater area and the most enjoyale part of the job is seeing the smiles on peoples' facs after the show is over.
I would go in to work, check my emails and my bosses email and sometimes respond to them for him. I would check and see what events we had that day and tell the employees what needed to be done. I would sometimes help them setup. I would accept orders of products for my boss, have forms signed, send faxes over.
