A typical day at Houston Baptist University Police Department
Corporal/Supervisor (Current Employee) – Houston, TX – February 5, 2014
A typical day at work involves me supervising the officers on my shift. Completing paper work for my shift and any other paper work that is needed. I speak to the officers about the patrol schedule and make sure everything is okay at work. The most enjoyable part of the job is when we are all sitting around eating together after a special event or assignment at work.
Considerable amount of days off
Free tennis shoes and lunches when you work athletic events.
Professor (Current Employee) – Houston, TX – November 4, 2017
Dept. management is good, but the university administration is not. If you fit in with administration, you may have opportunity for advancement. If not, you're probably going to get stranded in the same place. Promotions and raises are few and far between. Several policies which previously served as incentive for faculty to work harder have been removed under the current provost.
