Howden Compressors is the world's oldest manufacturer of twin rotary screw positive displacement compressors both for oil free and oil injected design.

Each system is designed for operational flexibility and the highest reliability, incorporating either single stage or multiple stage compressor technology. The combination of the latest state-of-the-art electronic control and instrumentation technology, and a highly skilled workforce ensures a reputation for high precision engineering, quality and performance.

Our packages typically conform to the API619, 614, 613, latest international process standards covering ASME VIII, BS, DIN, TEMA, GOST, AS, MERKBLATT, American, Chinese, European and Japanese pressure vessel codes, NORSOK, NACE and other design codes. In addition system designs have and can be approved by many major authorities such as Lloyds; Bureau Veritas; Norske Veritas; RINA; DSRK; Germanisher Lloyd, NKK and GGTN (Russia).

By the amalgamation of our applications, design, process, electrical/electronic and quality engineering disciplines a complete design team is brought together for each particular project. This together with a flexible approach to local manufacture gives our customers all the advantages of Howden technology, quality, reliability and local support. In our capacity as a global leader our services are enhanced by employing a team of highly qualified logistical support and commissioning engineers who complete our Total Customer Support Capability.

A typical system incorporates compressor, driver oil management system, electronic controls, instrumentation and additional process components such as coolers, KO vessels, condensate removal system and scrubbers. Each package is normally delivered as a fully assembled module with piping and electrical wiring complete ready for simple attachment to the clients process and electronic system thus minimising the installation and commissioning time. When called upon such systems can be run on air in our factory prior to delivery.

Our clients over many years have included all the major oil companies such as Amoco, BP, Chevron, Exxon, Lukoil, Mobil, Petrobras, Shell, Texaco, and contractors such as Amec, Bechtel, Kellogg, Brown and Root, Lurgi, ‘LG', Mustang and Snamprogetti.
