About HSC
HSC is a secular, inclusive organization which provides various support services for homeschoolers around the state of California. (more on HSC mission) One of the organizational activities is the Legislative Committee. As volunteers, we monitor legislative activities that pertain to California homeschooling and take steps to influence such activities – more... as we deem appropriate. Because our resources are so limited, we can't get fully involved in everything -- nor do we always think it beneficial to do so. The basic criteria we use in making this determination are the following:
Is the issue directly related to California homeschooling? Is the issue one that can be positively influenced by public action?
When an issue meets both of these criteria, we will take steps to determine what action to take, including (among others) behind the scenes "lobbying," grassroots alerts, or other efforts. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
