I had what I thought was a great interview with Humana (my third). My dash says active still and I was wondering how long it takes to hear back if I did get offered a position?

I've read several comments about Humana and how great of a company to work for and then how bad they are to their employess. I on the end of the bad. My record is completely unblemished, my attendance is WELL above average(had 1 absence due to breaking my leg), my production was improving each month since i started in January. I wasn't there long enough to get awards because i was fired on some made up lies. I talked to highly about this company that Humana outsourced to(Rightsource) I was in their Order Entry department in Springdale, Ohio. I was telling people i knew to see if they can get hired because they were still hiring and i even told friends on Facebook. So when i was fired on some bogus made-up story it really hurt. My schedule was 8-4:30 Tues.- Sat but i always worked 5am to 4:30 weekly. I enjoyed my job this place is the only job where i looked forward to going to work. This job was my 2nd home and it was just 10 minutes from my house so after reading all the negative comments i do believe everything that i've read. I was a dedicated and loyal employee but that didn't matter to them. So anyone thinking of working for Humana or Rightsource please reconsider your options unless you like being talked down to or being used and abuse then this the company for you!!!!

Absolutely positively the WORST culture that I've every been exposed to in my entire career. The business is a joke! If you are having problems with your manager, hr is a joke! Some of the most horrible people I have ever been exposed to ever. IF you take a job at Humana, you will eventually regret it. The work environment at Humana is so bad that other companies tell you that they won't count it against you that you worked for Humana. Anyone in the know in Metro Louisville WON'T work for them!

There is validity to the negative postings regarding Humana's culture. I have been with Humana for over 10 years and the politics have prepared me to RUN THE WORLD! The most political enviroment I have ever seen. The key to success is developing strategic relationships in a field of land mines! I am bound by the golden handcuffs, but I definitely am disgusted at how we treat people! It is disgraceful!

Do you work at Humana? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Just curious if anyone has any experience with relocation assistance if selected to a position several hours away, but in the same state (or in another state?) Nothing that fits is available in my current area and the openings are very few; looking to relocate.

I've applied for several nursing positions with Humana. I enjoy case management/utilization review aspects of the nursing world, though I've never worked for an insurance company. Any other RNs out there interviewed/worked for Humana who can give me pointers on the process & other "what to expect"?

I summarized this discussion without bias and I have a Question for you to answer. I'm interviewing for actuarial analyst position on Friday. So far, I have seen many negative comments on this company. Other than Aaron (whom I question his identity), most negative comments come from sales personnel, tele marketing, and people with a bad interviewing company. What about other roles? (please do not only quote Aaron, I have already seen it) After my phone interview, I did notice that the pace of the company has a fast pace, but their agent was never the less very friendly. (I spoke to Ms. Woodley btw) I worked as an HR assistant in a large company before, and take my word, it's not as relaxing as you may think. At this point, I have to say that I look forward to a challenging and fast paced environment. However, I do have a little doubt in my mind. Can any you tell me, without bias, how bad is the office politics? (I'm especially looking forward to hear the answer from Mable, Aaron, and loving Humana)

What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does Humana stack up against the competition?
