Our Shelter facility cares for lost, stray, and injured animals, as well as for animals surrendered by their owners. Our full-service Veterinary Clinic provides medical and dental care, including low-cost spay/neuter services. Our Cruelty and Rescue service is available to rescue sick or injured stray animals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for all of Washtenaw County. Our TNR Program works with caretakers of feral cat colonies in Washteanw County.

HSHV provides 24 hour rescue services for sick and injured wildlife and stray animals. Please note that HSHV does not accept healthy animals, including feral cats or wildlife, for euthanasia.
