Exciting place with plenty of growth and opportunity
Process Team Lead (Current Employee), Columbus, OhioAugust 30, 2014
I've enjoyed working with Huntington Bank for my nearly four years that I've been with the company. While I'm not in agreement with their management, hiring process and overall training and development, I understand that the company is growing and learning each and every day. This a company on the rise and should the right people be employed, this company – more... will continue to grow at a massive rate. I have a team of fraud specialists that I love working with on a daily basis, so much that I work as much overtime as possible just to spend time with the team and grow as an employee to become the best that I can be. – less

Don't be fooled.
Branch Manager (Current Employee), Columbus, OhioAugust 28, 2014
What does a CEO who comes in and slaps a coat of paint on a business and then eliminates all of it's fee income and therefore can't make money by way of revenue do?
Starts to cut expenses so deep that the business can't run effectively. It eliminates valuable positions that could help this dog turn around but because of his arrogance he can't see the – more... light and his minions don't have the guts to tell him what he needs to hear.
This place has turned into a horrible work environment with no work life balance and nothing to build the self esteem of it's employees or truly reward anyone for doing a good job. This company wants everybody to do everything and that does not make a company run.
If this is really about making money then give up some of your own $6.5 million dollar salary and make it public to show you really care but we all know how that works don't we. Gordon Gecko said it best...GREED!
When you can't show revenue you cut expenses to try and sham Wall Street and your shareholders into thinking you are making money when you are not. With a $1.2 billion dollar gap in deposit goals, you have a problem. Wall Street can't be shammed and that is why the shareholders are stuck with a $9 stock that won't move. And a merger? Who would want a company that has painted themselves into a corner with a "do the right thing" slogan and a 24 hr period of time to make your account positive before charging fees? No one, because they can't turn it off now. So we sit and wait to watch it all come crumbling down as he sits in his ivory tower thinking he has done something special. Thanks for nothing! – less

CSA/ Customer Service Associate (Former Employee), Holland MIAugust 16, 2014
Pros: great co-workers
Cons: change of grading job proformance constantly, difficult customers, not given all info for job
A typical CSA takes about 100+ calls a day, if you learn what they teach its not half of what you need to know.
You learn mostly on the job, which to the customers point of view is unprofessional. They change the structure on how they rate your job, they stress sales, then customer service, you can give the best service, and a customer may not need – more... a product or service, but you didn't provide the best service if you didn't offer something. – less

Huntington National Bank
ASST. VICE PRESIDENT, PORTFOLIO MANAGER (Former Employee), Morgantown, WVAugust 8, 2014
Huntington is a growing, efficient bank focused on the Mid-West. They focus on growing deposits through their "Fair Banking" philosophy. They do not looking to grow their CRE portfolio and are taking a low to moderate risk approach to middle market lending.
