The Huron County Safety Council was formed in 1994 to promote safety and health awareness in Huron County businesses and their communities through meetings, seminars, and training programs. One of 50 safety councils in Ohio, the Huron County Safety Council received honorable mention for excellence in programming at the 1996 and 1998 All-Ohio Safety Congress. As well as a 2005 honorable mention.
The Safety Council is partially funded through the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation. The Council is sponsored locally by the Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce, 10 W. Main St., Norwalk.
What kind of Programs & Activities is HCSC involved in?
The Council meets the third Thursday of each month from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. During this time, breakfast is provided and a guest speaker presents a safety program. Topics pertain to occupational safety and health, risk management and Bureau of Workers' Comp services and rehabilitation. Members also have the opportunity to network and share information with each other during monthly meetings. The Council sponsors more in-depth seminars occasionally. – less–ZoomInfo
