Easy but aggravating
Assembly Line Operator (Former Employee), McRae, GAMay 8, 2014
Pros: making new friends
Cons: short breaks, point system
The supervisors and co-workers were easy to work with. Work was consistent, steady, and fast-paced. I learned several steps in the lawnmower building process like building guards, mounting wheels, and tightening wheel nuts. The company didn't always comply with the handbook, and rarely ever followed their "safety first" motto. It was all about the quality – more... of the product, regardless of what hazards were present. – less

No Leadership, No training program,
Tactical Buyer (Former Employee), Olathe, KSNovember 8, 2013
Pros: pay is good
Cons: moral low
The MRP system is outdated, still using an AS400 system and greenbar paper that is used and then tossed out.

This company needs a better training program for the people that work there.

Inventory Control Analyst (Former Employee), Orangeburg, SCSeptember 27, 2013
Pros: best fit for retirees
Cons: i, m not sure
There is little room for advancement, no place to work if you have a family with small children. I think working here is best fit for someone who is retired or retiring.

Annual layoffs create stress and insecurity among employees
Sales (Former Employee), Charlotte NCMarch 12, 2013
Pros: great products, good compensation and benefits.
Cons: poor morale due to annual layoffs.
Husqvarna used to be a great company that cared about it's products and people. For the past several years, they purge people around the holidays, hire people during the year, then begin layoffs again. In addition, not many people are promoted from within which limits advancement opportunities. In addition, senior management changes every couple of – more... years which causes more turmoil. – less
