I did not leave my job, IBM left me. I was told that they were looking for an "more thoroughly rounded" employee. Funny thing is, I went to the job posting board, after learning of my pending separation and saw over two dozen openings for my position (Costa Rica or India)!

We were salaried. Did not work on shifts. Some people on my team worked 24/7 7 days a week. Literally. One lady had health problems as a result of over-work. It was the expectation of management. I refused.

I only received one raise in the 10 years I was there. Staff was reduced and not replaced. The work was being done in India for most of my group. So we lost several people do to the fear of losing our jobs or they left because they were unhappy.
