Characteristics of Position:
Expected to plan, research, code, and test programs for Web/Client Server projects with minimal assistance. Should know how to build applications from the ground up, as well as modify and build on existing code. You should know VBScript, ASP/ASP.NET, PHP and SQL. Using Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is a plus.
Education: Must have BS or BA degree and two (2) years of experience or five (5) years experience in programming and database administration.
Experience: Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in programming and administration of databases with emphasis on medically related fields. Must have a high degree of understanding of the healthcare data collected from claims information, IQH review abstracts and other data maintained by IQH.
I. Performance Responsibilities
A. Develop and Maintain web and local applications. Define, administer and document procedures and best practices for database maintenance and reporting creation related to the databases of various projects of IQH.
B. Serve as contact for end users requiring technical support. regarding their usage of the PCCS, Tobacco Quitline and other datasets utilized by IQH.
C. Assist in the creation of, generate and develop standard/customized reports and standard reports.
D. Perform routine maintenance and to ensure system integrity and data quality. Make recommendations and identify opportunities for systems enhancements as needed.
E. Work with the Analysis Department Manager to provide technical guidance to project staff utilizing various IQH databases.
F. Provide technical assistance on data collection tools designed to assist providers in quality improvement activities.
G. Assumes other duties, responsibilities and travel as assigned.
