IT Trailblazers is seeking an Oracle Finance Analyst for one of our major clients in the Information Technology Industry. This is a Contract position based in Palo Alto, CA.

Job Description / Roles and Responsibilities of Oracle Finance Analyst

Our client is looking for a Finance Analyst who will serve as a liaison between the technical staff and business user community, with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. The Analyst will work with users to identify and specify complex business requirements, and call upon a deep knowledge of Concur Expense and/or Coupa Procurement to deliver application design, module configuration/setup, acceptance testing, and End-User training.

Key responsibilities

Understand technical solution design, integrations and technology strategy
Work as a business partner with client users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual optimized solutions
Translate challenging business requirements into solutions leveraging standard functionality
Perform configuration and setups
Ensure deliverables are tracked and delivered to the project schedule
Mentor in-house technical resources on Concur Expense and/or Coupa Procurement system
Lead business process evaluations, requirements-gathering, system analysis and design activities
Collaborate on design decisions on business solutions and processes on Concur Expense and/or Coupa Procurement
Engage multiple stakeholders to ensure a successful rollout of business solutions
Work with external consultants to ensure quality deliverables that meet standards
Act as Concur Expense and/or Coupa Procurement Subject Matter Expert
Work closely with application development managers and integration resources to build integrated solutions Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

5 Years experience
Expertise in Expense management, Procurement to Pay processes, Project Accounting
Global Financial business background strongly preferred
Deep understanding of project accounting, purchase requisition submission, approval workflows, purchase order creation and vendor payment
Strong understanding of expense report submission, approval workflows, and employee reimbursement
Must have experience integrating SaaS applications with Oracle EBS and other on premise applications (Workday experience preferred)
Ability to produce detailed functional specifications and functional design documentation
Experience with Concur and/or Coupa applications required
Flexibility/adaptability to work in onsite-offshore model
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
