From a former ITT-Tech instructor (4.5 years in Houston) - the school is a scam that preys on s tupid, uneducated (and uneducable) people for the $40,000 federal student loans that they obtain. The books are a joke, the cirriculum is written for morons (because only a moron would attend there) and the credits don't transfer.
How can a person who picks his/her nose in class; who doesn't bathe regularly; who can't read OR write expect to get a professional job earning sufficient income to pay off a $40,000 student loan?
To summarize: the school is a scam for s uckers, the credits will NEVER transfer to a REAL university or college (DeVry doesn't count, stupid!), and only mo rons enroll.

Has anyone experienced the "bait and switch" for the Gaming Design program. You tell them you want to enroll in Gaming Design, and they tell you to sign up for the AAS in Visual Communications as a stepping stone to the Gaming Design Bachelors degree?

I just started ITT TECH just a couple of weeks i attended ago at Torrance, CA. Could i stop going to school and still wont have to pay the loan? They told me i have 30 days to make up my mind before the loan can be approve. I am in my 3 week of school.

Now, I graduated from college but, I see all the commericals and I'm like wow, that sounds
like the school to goto. LOL! If anyone is an ITT Tech alum can I send you my resume for
an employee referral. I'm having a hard time in the I.T. field and ITT grads seem to be
going places in the tech industry.

Please do not respond to their ads for Recruiters, Career Services Specialists or instructors. This school is a joke, and they're only interested in making money for the corporation. They do not care about the students, and have multiples students and former employees that are currently suing them for fraud. I worked for ITT Tech for three years and quit after I realized that it was a huge scam. I couldn't stand to see students treated like trash, and the management leaves little to be desired. My boss was hired even though she had never worked for a school before! They will take an employee willing to lie, cheat or deceive students for them. My former boss is suing them for racial discrimination, and yes, I saw this happen to her. Please spread the word that no one with any ethics should apply to work at this pathetic excuse for a school. I know tons of students that were left financially devastated after enrolling in the Associates program. Students are charged $40,000 for an Associates degree when they can go to a community college and get the same degree for about 2,000. It's a horrible scam and it's affecting the poorest kids out there. Stop ITT Tech and their corrupt business practices!

not only did i get interviews for cia they came to school to recruit. so much for his story
i now work for verizon as a switch tech working on fiber optics, gtd-5's,dms-100's, 5ess, dco's, dms-10's, i work on ss7, fiber transports from t1's oc48,s oc12,s..
now we are expanding fiber to home with fios'

For any current ITT Tech students or those considering ITT Tech, please think about the following information before you sign away your future to extensive debt and a worthless degree. First, please think about accreditation. ITT is accredited through ACICS (acics.org), which was developed for trade/technical/career schools by those representing those schools. Accreditation is the governing body for the school, such as how they operate, etc. The ACICS accreditation has minimal standards which you can review for yourself at their website. ACICS is a national accreditation and the standards are easily met, therefore the ITT degree has no value. ITT credits do not transfer to anyone and most employers do not recognize degrees from ITT. ITT is pursuing HLC accreditation but it will take years to get there if at all. Finally, you must use personal loans beyond federal aid to cover your programs-what does that say about the cost? AA degrees are $40k and BA degrees are $80k. A graduate would need to make in excess of $80k per year to pay back the loans along with their regular life expenses, such as family, mortgage, food, utilities, autos, etc. Current grads are making $30k and less. Just ask your rep in career services about salaries for recent grads. Also check with any future employers and see if they accept an ITT degree before you enroll since most of the largest, most-respected employers do not. Also check the ittesi.com website and review their annual reports. See how much the company and company execs are making at the students expense. Check out their salaries, bonus plans and incentives while thousands of students are incurring more debt than they will ever be able to pay back. And if you dont pay your student loans it will impact your credit, refrain you from getting any future financial aid and it is not discharable in bankruptcy. You are stuck with an expensive piece of paper and a dead-end job. ITT, It Takes Trash.
