Loader & pull-up (Former Employee), Wichita, KS – May 2, 2013
Pros: loved 2nd shift. had days free
Setting up product on trucks, so that pulling orders for route men was quick and easy to find, and they could fill their orders in a timely manner. Making sure all products are sellable that are loaded.
Running out hot-shots on accounts that were running low. Hardest part of the job was waiting on late deliveries. Took pride in the fact that I tried – more... my best to be accurate in counts and all drivers recieved product. – less

Challenging and productive company with incentives
Hostess Cake manager (Former Employee), Lancaster, CA – April 18, 2013
Open and prepare for daily sales call for orders and pull orders for vendors then I would stock and tend to customers, after my co-workers were quick to come in and began to assist me ,which would free me to call management and give a report of sales and orders for store.management has always been very helpful, I think the hardest part of the job was – more... trying to locate my product when it wasn't delivered on time, I would love to greet and help my customers .I miss it – less

HOSTESS BRANDS (Former Employee), CHULA VISTA,CA – January 21, 2013
Pros: the hours, the pay and the people i worked with daily
Cons: company liquidated
start at midnight for the most part and load the truck for the day. go to the stores and service them, pull order for store off the truck and check it in. rotate new product onto the shelf, rotating the older product to the front. give credits for expired product.
I really learned alot about merchandising properly here from some of the best people in – more... the business.
All of my coworkers were very friendly and helpful in teaching me the proper way to do things, by far the best work enviroment I have ever had and really due to relationships with the coworkers.
The hardest part of the job was loading truck in morning and off loading in the afternoon and ordering product 1 week in advance can be challenging as well.
The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing and interacting with my co workers every morning and interacting with all the receivers at the stores. – less

Productive and fun workplace
Hostess Brands (Former Employee), Decatur, IL – January 12, 2013
A normal day at work for me would pretty much be running the cash register, but also would be stocking product. I would rotate what was on the shelf, oldest dates going along the middle shelves with newer dates spreading across the remaining top and lower shelves. The workers were amazing, easy-going and very friendly. I think my favorite part of the – more... job was the workers. There were 4 of us, and we all got along really well. The customers were all friendly and easy to cooperate with. There were a lot more pros to this job, I can hardly find anything that I would classify as a con. – less
