Great Company
Career Technician (Former Employee), Birds Landing, CAMarch 19, 2014
Pros: park availability at or above company standards, opportunity personal responsibility.
Performed scheduled maintenance and I was on call with the team responsible for trouble shooting and repairs.

To work together as a team with all employees.

Management was professional and great to work under and they all had positive attitudes, very easy to work with.

The commute.

BBQ OUTSTANDING!

New company dealing with old school growing pains
Buyer (Former Employee), PortlandFebruary 21, 2014
Pros: good benefits, good pay, nice people
Cons: spain managed, lots of mistrust, internal processes a joke, managers don't seem to know how to move company forward, lots of ex-pacificorp employees (hmmmm?)
Typical day was rather boring. Learned about contracts. Management needs overhaul. Co-workers were best part of job. Hardest part of job was dealing with outdated internal processes and SAP bolt-ons.

Wind Tech (Current Employee), TexasJanuary 16, 2014
Pros: awesome medical, and the best 401k i've ever heard of.
Cons: unpredictable hours sometimes.
Iberdrola is the best company I've ever worked for. The benefit are wonderful some of the best I've ever seen. The people I personally are very intelligent and trustworthy with great attitudes. The only down side is some times the hours can be unpredictable if a major failure occurs.

Real Time trader
Lead Sr. Real Time Trader (Former Employee), NW CouchOctober 3, 2013
Pros: salary
Cons: rotating shift, very stressful work environment.
Involved in the day to day set up of next day trading as it pertained to generation plants status and wind plants forecast output. Involved in all aspects of PPM's real time portfolio, which included schedule curtailments, estimating wind plant schedules in numerous regions of the US. Involved in trading CISO, SW, and NW markets for maximum arbitrage – more... opportunity. – less

poor employer
contractor (Former Employee), houston txJanuary 17, 2012
Pros: free sodas
Cons: poorly managed
When I worked for Iberdrola, I was not impressed with the leadership. They seemed to be confused. The had so many layers of control they could not make a profit. I look for them to leave town once their government tax credits are exhausted.

Wind Plant Manager (Former Employee), OregonDecember 4, 2011
Pros: great benifits
Cons: to many bosses
Iberdrola is a young company that has the potential of being the best in the industry. The company's parent company is in Spain which makes it difficult for both entities to understand each others way of doing business.
Overall Iberdrola is a great company to work for.
