IBISWorld is an amazing company with over 40 years of experience in the market research industry. It's a great atmosphere with positive coworkers and management. They have made a lot of improvements since I came on board.

Senior Business Development Manager (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAAugust 29, 2017
This company gives you the perception of family but it's just not true. This company is about cliques and who likes you and less about contribution.

Management is trained to create a wall between BDM and upper management. There is a clear disconnect from the reality of starting a new business and celebrated past success.

This company at times can be racially insensitive and has a culture that is more fitting for singles who love to get drunk. If you don't share all of your personal business you may be considered an outsider or a threat to the culture.

No consistency in the treatment and discipline of employees, back handed complements from management, and a lot of empty promises of earning potential. This is a great place if you love a sales process that takes a year to complete then an additional 3-6 months to get paid.

For entry level sales employee
Business Development Manager (Former Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAMay 17, 2017
Management is always where you make or break employees. This place has a serious mid-management cancer. There is a true disconnect between the executives, and The Churn and Burn Factory. Many mixed messages from the top. They say one thing yet actions display otherwise. Most of the greatest sales reps and editors have lost respect for the Exec. Suite. It's as if leadership, is in dire need of some leadership. It's just a mess! Save yourself a year or two of your time. Benefits aren't the best either.
Pros
Free Breakfast on Fridays if you love bagels solely cause that's it
Cons
Heavy Traffic, Horrible Parking or Pay Monthly

Great people, hard product.
Business Development Manager (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CAMarch 20, 2017
Excellent training, managers, and work-life balance.

It is a cold calling job, and inbound leads are rare.

Product is not for everyone, extremely niche and you are selling something that no one has heard about. The office can feel a bit cramped at times.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER (Current Employee) –  Los Angeles, CADecember 27, 2016
No room for growth, culture is very stiff. Compensation is not up to par with the amount of work that is done on a daily basis.

This was the worst job I have ever had. The managers all like to micromanage the employees and it is a very stressful situation. Procurement is very boring,

Great company
Industry Research Analyst (Current Employee) –  New York, NYOctober 4, 2016
The company itself is great and there is an overall good culture. There is a bit of turnover on the analyst side and it is a bit hard to move up. The CEO and managers are great overall.

Management goes out of their way to show they care. Work can be a little dull, but they do their best to make it fun. Awesome co-workers and you learn a lot.

Good Product- SOP needed
Client Relationship Director (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJune 1, 2013
Creating a work flow was my biggest goal at the start of my career at IBIS. Grossly understaffed, I was hired as part of an initial expansion effort. A typical day consisted of reviewing upcoming client contract renewals to avoid any lapses while simultaneously keeping lines of communication open with book of business to identify growth potential and increase potential for retention year over year.

Multi tasking and thick skin iis imperative.

IBISWorld would have been a dream career move for me- but as far as advancement based on merit, my experience was less than ideal. Due to the need for aggressive hiring, upper management began bringing in friends and familky. office soon became extremely fraternal, and took on a haves and have not mentality.
