Icebreaker

We developed the Bodyfit260 (a lighter garment for next to skin micro management of your environment), and the Sport320 (a 320gm layer to sit over the top and manage insulation). What was surprising was that when worn together, they locked together and performed as one garment that regulated temperature, whilst breathing perfectly - just as if it was – more... on the back of an animal. This is how our layering system started, the first merino wool layering system in the world.

Since then the range has evolved further using this layering principle. We aim to enhance your life through providing clothing which meets the needs of how you live. When you,re on the mountain, on a river, in the air, or in a city. Most of the people I know who are active in the outdoors also live in cities, and travel between the two environments: outdoor and city.

We want clothes that will work in both environments.

We use the equation ,VALUE= COST / USEAGE, to define value at Icebreaker. We want to maximise the usage our customers receive from our clothing; through quality, styling, fit and features. 2002 was a turning point in the thinking behind the Icebreaker business. We made a conscious decision to take charge of our future. Every year we now rewrite our 3 year plan going forward so we always have a fresh view of our future. We don,t wait for the future to come to us, we create it.

As a company, we are committed to internal evolution, and the reason we can grow quickly and in a healthy way, is because the people within Icebreaker feel they are on a journey of learning and are also evolving as people. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
