The primary responsibility of the New Home Consultant is to facilitate the sale of new homes. New Home Consultants are the first point of contact customers meet when they arrive at one of our model homes in our communities in the Oklahoma City Metro Area.
Serving the Oklahoma City metropolitan and Stillwater, OK areas, the company offers 6 product lines and over 60 floor plans ranging from 1,000 to 3,400 square feet. Under the leadership of Gene McKown, president of development; Vernon McKown, president of sales; and Todd Booze, president of construction, Ideal Homes operates as a fully integrated home-building team that develops, designs, builds, sells, finances, and warrants new homes.

For this position
- No real estate license required
- College degree is preferred
- 2 years relevant sales experience is required
- Outside sales training is a plus

If you are selected to join our team, you will begin your career as a "Roamer" which means you will be able to sell any of our product lines. Once a community is available for you to office out of, you may apply for that community. Once approved for that community, it will be your base location. You will work most weekends and will take your days off during the week. The New Home Consultant position receives a base pay, plus bonuses and commissions off of your home sales.

Interviews are done in 3 stages: 1st interview: initial face to face interview, or Skype, possibly 20 minutes, 2nd interview: Work History interview; possible 3 hours, the 3rd and final interview: Competency interview by 4 of our management team members, one on one-an hour each; which will take 4 hours.
