Lead Sales Consultant (Former Employee) – Washington State – March 6, 2018
The company treats its employees unfairly and rewards unethical behaviors. Management is driven by sales only and doesn't take the time to listen to senior employees in regards to following business practices.
Ideal Image as a whole is a great company and the services they provide are the best. However, to be an employee at the Columbus location, expect to be over worked, required to complete tasks that are not in your job title, expect to be hovered over, followed, manipulated, disrespected, and harassed by your center manager. Even with witnesses and cameras, you're not safe. Oh, and don't expect HR to do anything. Why you might ask? Because he is the manager and the center makes money. Its a whole lot easier to replace a GSC than it is to replace a Center Manager. Also, if you are a provider expect to be told one thing about your schedule during the hiring process and be completely thrown into the position required to work waaayyyyy more weekends and evenings than you agreed to work. This will only change if the current manager is gone. Which probably wont happen unless he chooses to leave on his own. Which he wont do because he has a cake job and is not required to actually do any work. 2 months into him being in the center he still doesn't know how to navigate the company software and complete simple tasks. He delegates all his required tasks on his gsc's who are bullied into doing the tasks and then he presents them to his higher up as his own work. While he walks around the center and texts on his phone and trolls on his Facebook and Instagram. So if you decide to work here under this manager...The best of luck to you! Don't count on HR to have your back when you are followed, stalked, cornered, harassed and physically grabbed in the work place.
Treatment Provider (Former Employee) – Canada – November 15, 2017
No MSP PTO days are constantly denied Vacation is constantly denied Shifts are changed the day of the shift without sufficient notice Fear mongering is a technique used to control the staff Staff are not appreciated or respected There is not respect for healthcare or the professionalism of nursing They are constantly understaffed but overbooked Appt's are always late and booked for too short of times then that of which are safe to provide treatment. Management is beyond unprofessional. You are pulled out of appts to do medical checks but time is not allotted in the treatments to do this so you will be late but then reprimanded for taking to long. You will often work long hours with no break and nothing to eat. They say they will reimburse you for all this stuff but many of our staff have not been reimbursed and requests are ignored.
everything: no medical coverage, no pension plan, poor management
Registered Nurse (Former Employee) – Seattle, WA – November 6, 2017
I worked in a busy center where it was common to work through lunches, not getting proper breaks and staying late to complete charting and cleaning for the next day. I would start at 8:30 am and usually get off work around 7:30 or 8p four days a week. It's a high pressure sales environment; and the sales consultants and management don't want the providers to be completely honest about treatment outcomes even if they won't have satisfactory results. I would get scolded by management for telling guests realistic outcomes and if they were not an ideal candidate for certain procedures, there were many times that I was denied breaks due to consultations, same day add ons, and management wanting to get free treatments.
Yes you get to work in aesthetics, but mind you that you will be doing laser hair removal most of the day. HR promises to train all the treatment providers in all modalities, but it's often not the case. The treatments they provide are fun to learn but will help you advance your nursing career and you will eventually lose your nursing skills. The culture is the same as a high school clique, lots of gossip and back stabbing. The center managers are not medically trained, they are sales people and only care about $$$$ not about if the patient is happy with their results.
Lead Resource Consultant (Current Employee) – Tampa, FL – November 4, 2017
Terrible culture. extreme personal connections. overall unprofessional environment The call center is extremly clickish and not run in a professional manner. Numbers are not as important as who you hang out with. Would not recommend to anyone
Nurse Practitioner (Former Employee) – Florida – October 24, 2017
This is a wonderful organization with a flexible schedule. Patients are all healthy and are want to show up to their appointments and there are no emergencies. Great position if you are looking for a customer service focused job.
Center Manager (Current Employee) – All – October 23, 2017
New Managers are put in centers where there previously weren’t any. Some luck out and some deal with lots of drama and immaturity by associates. More than not you’re put in a position where no one in the center wants you there. The associates stick together and will do WHATEVER necessary to try and drive you out. HR is completely out of touch with the tactics that go on and will not support you. Most Managers speak to each other for support because it won’t come from anywhere else. I’ve heard more than a couple of horror stories regarding other Ctr’s. For what you have to deal with..the compensation is below par. Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider coming to work here!
Lots of immaturity by Ctr. associates. Poor unsupportive HR dept. No paid holidays for Mgrs.
Lead Sales Consultant (Current Employee) – Tampa, FL – October 20, 2017
Sales is the primary Focus! Refunds are easily which is disheartening. The company is moving towards a Med Spa feel but they aren't making the necessary changes to meet the standards of such. They need more modalities and better qualified managers in their Centers
RN TREATMENT PROVIDER (Current Employee) – Plano, TX – October 10, 2017
Would not recommend. There constant turnover with upper management.Inexperienced center managers. Unfair scheduling, last minute changes with no communication. Free services was the best thing about the job.
Treatment Nurse (Current Employee) – United States – October 7, 2017
The job as a treatment provider is never boring that’s for sure. The guests are great and they make coming into work enjoyable. Great benefits! Always willing to work with scheduling for time off! Working hours/days are not the best but that could vary depending on location. I think they need to do a better job hiring these center managers though. Maybe hire someone with some background in medicine besides “ going to the doctors” doesn’t constitute having a medical background. I would recommend working at Ideal Image as you would have FUN doing aesthetics. But beware of the constant drama between the staff!
provider (Former Employee) – Ohio – September 26, 2017
Not a good place to work. Management is aweful, they have friends who are treated preferentially. You better be a part of the click or else you are treated very poorly. Lots of backbiting among staff, feels like a bunch of mean high school girls. No respect for colleagues.
Bookkeeper (Former Employee) – Bradenton, FL – September 20, 2017
Productive and exciting workplace. Always new and innovative ideas. The staff was very friendly and the owner allowed flexibility in my position. This a very busy place, but never felt stressed. Management treated all staff with respect. I learned a lot about laser hair removal, Cool sculpting and skin tightening with ultra sound.
