Simraceway is hiring! We need a super-talented UI/UX Designer that's ready for a challenge. We're building an online racing platform that's going to appeal to a broad range of user types, and we need to carefully consider how to cultivate broad appeal while serving the unique needs of each niche.
You've done it before, ideally designing for both the web and client applications. You're excited about building an HTML5 UI that can power parallel experiences both as our client application UI and on our website. You can blend your work into an existing visual style, and then take ownership over it, keeping it fresh and evolving it in a way that's not jarring. You work equally well with business folk, engineers, and marketers; we're a small company and it's not going to be handed to you on a platter.
What You'll do:
UX and UI design for website and game client
Work closely with Engineers and Producers to develop a quality experience in a timely manner without sacrificing quality
Design and oversee implementation of your designs
A minimum of 3 years-experience as a UI/UX designer
Strong understanding of design an UI functionality
Expert knowledge of HTML – ideally with some exposure to HTML5 – and CSS.
Expert-level capabilities with 2D design tools (Photoshop, AI, etc)
A thorough understanding of how design impacts development
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
A strong portfolio
Nice to Have:
Understanding of game design principles, pipelines and tools
Expertise in 3D art tools
