About Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)
IMRF is the only state retirement system that is 100% funded. This has enabled hundreds of local governments to reduce its tax-supported contributions by millions of dollars over the last several years. Peoria County alone has reduced its annual contributions by over $1.3 million local tax dollars in 2002 from the 1999 county contribution rates.
