Potential great place to work but pay is low and expectations are high
Employee (Current Employee) –  Sarasota, FLJune 4, 2017
If you love sports, its the place to be. If you are expecting to start a long career with the company. I would look else where, two years is the max most people put in before volunteering to leave. Long hours, stressful work environment, low pay for high expectations, and high cost of living in the area are the main reasons most leave.
Pros
Sports environment
Cons
Extremely low pay, stressful work environment, and long hours

Intern (Former Employee) –  Bowling Green, KYMarch 27, 2017
it was unpaid and sometimes the work was not fun like rolling T-shirts or packing letters. Overall I think the experience was what I wanted. This ended when I graduated college and I also worked with 4 other interns.

Golf Course Maintenance (Former Employee) –  Brandenton, FLMarch 24, 2017
The year-round full-time staff are very excited and great place to work. Good work/life balance and nice co-workers. Poor salary, long hours, corporate company politics. Holidays are poor which restricts your work life balance

This place really sucks. They don't care about the employees and tons of drama. They need to play more for the amount of work they do. Pros, good benefits.

Management/ Employee Moral Poor
Cashier/Cook (Former Employee) –  Bradenton, FLJuly 30, 2016
Management doesn't have the time to care. The bosses that actually do care about their workers are too stressed out and too overworked to actually help. There's too many bosses micromanaging. Because of this, the employees have whiplash from trying to keep up with the ever changing regulations (which literally change from day to day). The employee's pleas are ignored until a student's parent complains about the same thing. Very long story short- not an ideal place to work at.

Best place to work in Bradenton
Mailman (Current Employee) –  Bradenton, FLJanuary 19, 2016
Great place to work, enjoy working with athletes from around the world and is one of the largest companies in Manatee County, mail is starting to get a little overwhelming since campus has grown from 200 students to 1500 students and athletes that live on campus. I do anywhere from 120 to 500 packages a day and 600 letters that I must log in and sort out. Great vacation time of 26 days a year and can schedule any time off to visit daughter in college.
Pros
can get job done in 4 hours, so have time to ship out packages
Cons
lots of lifting

Even think about working here. The pay and the people are a reason not to consider working at the multimillion dollar business/academy that pays pennies and hourly. The salary is a joke and quite embarrassing.
Pros
A few free shirts

Hospitality Associate (Current Employee) –  Bradenton, FLSeptember 4, 2015
IMG Academy is a great organization from the outside looking in, however despite the amazing work environment, and the incredible staff and employees, the overall decision making process by upper management needs some review.

Golf Grounds (Former Employee) –  Bradenton, FloridaAugust 22, 2015
They have nailed the lipstick approcach at making the compound look great when visitors come thru the gate. They are state of the art in many aspects of the company, but the pay is just barely above the poverty line in many departments, and they ask a lot of their employees! They are very good at cutting cost, and willing to do whatever they can to do it. They have employees bouncing back and forth from one department to another. Typical day at work is outdoors, and co-workers are great people. You bust our hump for peanuts, and don't expect a lucrative raise anytime soon. If you're trying to make a living this is not the place to work.
Pros
Seeing all the wildlife.

Low Pay

PM Supervisor for Jr. Dining (Current Employee) –  Bradenton, FLMarch 20, 2015
IMG is a nice place to work at. There needs to be better way to communicate between departments. Employees work hard. Kids are friendly and polite. There are updates going on that will help IMG become a well known place.

Great Parent company, but thats it
Graphic Designer (Former Employee) –  Bradenton, flFebruary 9, 2015
They sell themselves as a team orientated workplace, but that's not the case at all. You can never make a mistake and you can never ask for help. I worked in a department that was all girls, and it was like working in a sorority house. They are very childish and unprofessional. And the management looks past it, and sometimes bring their personal problems to the workplace. Not recommended

There really isn't much to say. This is an overall pretty good place to work. No real complaints at this time. I really have no big complaints regarding this company. Staff get a long well and the benefits and vacation time are excellent.

Fun Place to Work but Still Has Drawbacks
Manager (Current Employee) –  Bradenton, FLAugust 14, 2014
IMG Academy is a fast-paced work environment with great people who continuously bust their hump on a daily basis but receive very little credit for their hard work. Management has somewhat of an inflated image of themselves and believes that they are reason for the continued success when in all actuality the backbone of the Academy are the people in the "trenches."
