IMMY is a manufacturer of fungal diagnostics that was founded in 1979 by Stan Bauman Ph.D., and is now run by brothers Sean Bauman, Ph.D. and Scott Bauman. Today, they have 50 employees in a 30,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters, with a new state-of-the-art headquarters in Norman currently under construction. IMMY is currently one of the fastest-growing companies in the OKC metro.
Over the last thirty-five years, IMMY has evolved from a company that filled a need in the market to an organization with a global focus on saving lives through their innovative products. A large amount of time is still devoted to manufacturing high-quality fungal diagnostics, but the scope and reach of the product line has broadened immensely.
IMMY’s most successful product so far, the CrAg® LFA, tests for an infection called Cryptococcosis, which kills over 600,000 people every year. Most of the deaths from this disease are HIV/AIDS patients in Sub-Saharan Africa. Because of the ease-of-use and room temperature storage, the CrAg® LFA is the only test capable of bridging the gap between this disease and the life-saving medicine these patients need.

*IMMY is a global medical diagnostic manufacturer in Norman, OK.*
*Rapid Growth Potential*
Founded in 1979, IMMY is one of the most successful biotech companies in the state of Oklahoma, and we have experienced a tremendous amount of success in recent years. This year, our sales have increased over 20% compared to last year, and annual sales will have doubled since 2009. We were also named to the 2014 Metro 50, which recognizes the top 50 fastest growing companies in the Oklahoma City Metro. This success is merely scratching the surface of the potential for IMMY’s product offering.
*Innovation is in Our DNA*
IMMY has released three innovative products in the last four years, and each one is positively impacting the clinical outcomes of patients all over the world. IMMY was awarded the 2014 Innovator of the Year by the Oklahoma Bioscience Association and i2E Inc. for the CrAg® LFA, a diagnostic test that will save the lives of thousands of HIV patients each year.
*Building Something Great*
IMMY recently doubled its facility space, and is planning to build a new company headquarters, which will be over four times the size of IMMY’s current building. This is just one example of how the company feels more like a start-up than a 35-year old company. IMMY has rapid growth potential in the near future, and is in the process of establishing systems to make the business successful on a much larger scale. This is an opportunity to help shape a company at the infancy of its rise in the diagnostic industry. – less
