Team Foundation Server (TFS) Administrator/Developer
Impact Instrumentation, Inc. is seeking an MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) administrator/developer candidate that is currently employed or has been employed in a similar position but wants to be part of an innovative company developing cutting-edge medical devices.
We are looking for a TFS professional that can also administer our engineering design software. The candidate will be an integral part of the team and will be instrumental in moving development forward.
Day to day administration of TFS system in support of various project development teams
Creating projects, new code branches, and merging code streams in TFS
Create and maintain build scripts
Work with development teams to produce automated builds, and continuous integration
Review and improve current TFS processes and procedures Initiate new users in the system and train in tool usage
Ensure system integrity and enforce software version control policies and procedures
Manage source code repositories, TFS, SharePoint sites and reporting capabilities
Assist in migrating build artifacts to appropriate deployment, test, and production environments
Manage maintenance subscriptions for engineering tools (know when they are due and make sure they do not lapse, identify and deploy important upgrades department wide.
Maintain engineering tools at the same version
Manage configuration tools for network vs. node-locked license
4+ years' experience in a combination of software configuration management and software development
Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server experience required; experience with the details of Team Foundation Server, such as installing, configuring and customizing the process template in Team Foundation Server 2012/2010/2008
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form
Development skills, including program languages (i.e. ASP.Net, C#, C++), Development Patterns and Practices, and Development Methodologies
Improve inter-disciplinary coordination using Work Items and workflows to control your process
Achieve collaboration among engineering teams, managers, IT, and remote developers
Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies
Develop specific reports, check-in policies, build scripts and code analysis procedures
Experience with writing build scripts
Strong source control, branching, release experience
Migrate existing code assets from third-party source control systems
Experience creating new and customizing existing work items and their workflows
Experience defining area paths based on understanding project needs
Experience defining custom email notifications
Experience backing up the TFS database
Experience managing group and role memberships.
